Marlborough, MA, April 27, 2004 – Proficiency, the acclaimed leader in engineering collaboration and design data interoperability, today announced it has received an additional $12 million in its third major round of financing. The new funding will support Proficiency’s market expansion and sales initiatives. Investors in Proficiency’s Series D round were led by Ampersand Ventures, and included earlier round investors Carmel Ventures, Charles River Ventures, Concord Ventures, Eucalyptus Ventures, Genesis Partners, Koor Corporate Venture Capital, and Pitango Venture Capital.
